ISLAMABAD: Continuing their rampage against the foreigners, armed muggers looted two Saudi nationals in Hill View Park at F-8, during evening walk.
This is third incident of mugging against the foreigners during the last couple of weeks. The police have taken up the case and cordoned of the area to hunt the gangsters but failed to get them.
The spokesman of the Islamabad confirmed the incident, saying the police would get the gangsters as the people engaged in the investigation, have get some clues against them and would arrest them within hours.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has sought a report from the Inspector General of Islamabad over the robbery incident with 2 Saudi nationals in Sector F8 Park, spokesman of the Interior Ministry said.
After taking notice of the robbery incident, Interior Minister Naqvi made a phone call to IG Islamabad Ali Nasir Rizvi and took the details of the incident, and ordered the immediate arrest of the accused, he added. Naqvi ordered IG police that the accused involved in the incident should be arrested at all costs.
The interior minister further said it was the prime duty of the government to provide full security to foreigners. The Capital police spokesman said that 4 special teams have been formed for the search for the accused with the help of CCTV cameras.
Moreover, police said digital surveillance, cellular technology and human intelligence were also being used and the accused will be arrested soon.
According to police, the robbers snatched mobile phone sets and other valuables from two Saudi nationals in Sector F-8 and fled from the scene. The Saudi citizens were walking in the park of Sector F8.
