KARACHI: The provincial secretary sports Jalaluddin Mehar has said that the next National Games, which are scheduled to be held in Sindh, would be organised in a befitting manner as the provincial government has started the preparation and planning.
He was addressing as the chief guest at the conclusion day ceremony of the 5-day coaches refresher course organised by Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) at National Coaching Centre here on Friday.
Mehar applauded the organiers and participants.
He hoped that the course would enhance their professional capabilities and skills according to the advancement in the sports world.
The PSB is organising such courses keeping in mind the international standards.
These coaches played a key role at grassroots level, and all athletes from all disciplines came first to these coaches to learn techniques.
A total of 200 sports coaches and fitness instructors in various disciplines participated in the workshop.
This was the second programme of PSB. The first one was organised in Quetta. A couple more will be held in other big cities of the country in near future in KP, and Gilgit- Baltistan.
The speakers of the workshop were Nasrullah Rana, national athletics coach and World Athletics Level-2 instructor, Arshad Mehmood, PSB hockey coach, and Muhammad Asadullah, former Pakistan football team player.
The main focus of their lectures were sports psychology, physical fitness, coaching philosophy, basic human nutrition, sports nutrition, human digestive system. Later, the provincial secretary sports distributed certificates.
A number of women were among the participants. The Director NCC Imran Yousuf said that not a single penny was charged from the participants.
