Teachers transfer new policy announced
LAHORE:Punjab School Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, while taking a major decision regarding the transfer posting of teachers, has introduced a new transfer policy.
According to a handout, under the new transfer policy, transfers to hardship grounds will now be open throughout the year. Handicapped, Widowed, Divorced, Long Distance, Inter-District and Wedlock transfers will also be open throughout the year. However, only very important cases will be dealt with in this regard.
As per new policy, general and mutual transfers could be done twice a year. These transfers could be done during summer and winter vacations. Under the new policy, the education minister has directed all types of promotions to be completed within 30 days and all district committees to ensure a decision on applications within a month.
The minister said that he had solved the big transfer problem of the teachers. The minister added that providing convenience to teachers was the first priority.
