Journalism under threat

The murder of Nasrullah Gadani underscores the fact that Pakistan is one of the most unsafe countries for journalists in the world. This year alone, at least five journalists have been killed across the country. A journalist can be the voice of the voice and the protector of the people, playing a vital role in promoting truth and accountability and exposing corruption. How many more lives will be lost before the government takes decisive action against those targeting journalists. The protection of journalists is not just a legal obligation, it is also a moral imperative.
