The Panama leaks have exposed the amateurish way in which our politicians handle crises. The leaks have nothing to do with the real problems facing the majority of people – inflation, lack of basic healthcare and education facilities, unemployment, etc. Both the government and the opposition are at fault, and have been overzealous in pinning each other down without any need or justification. The double standards employed by the PPP to hold the PM accountable while sparing its leaders – late Benazir Bhutto and Rehman Malik – is condemnable. This is despite the fact the PM is not directly named in the offshore accounts. Our parliamentarians have been wasting taxpayers’ money and time. This should stop. Muhammad Sarwar Mir Gujrat
