ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued an order for removal of registrar office objections to a petition filed by the PTI against the sealing of its central secretariat.
Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz directed to remove registrar office objections to Umar Ayub’s petition. PTI counsel Shoaib Shaheen and Umair Baloch appeared before the court on Monday. During the hearing, the court ordered removal of the objections and allotting a number to the petition. The case will be fixed for hearing again.
The PTI leader, through the petition, has requested the court to nullify CDA orders of sealing the PTI central secretariat. He took the plea that Arshid Dad and Nasimur Rehman were both PTI members and they had purchased the commercial plot on July 17, 2020, under an agreement. It was further said that Siraj Ali, owner of the plot in G-8, had written a letter to CDA for transfer of the plot on July 29, 2020. The CDA transferred the plot in the name of the PTI after Siraj Ali’s letter. “On May 23, I came to know suddenly at 11.15 pm that CDA has conducted an operation,” he contended.
