PTIP workers join PPP in Nowshera

NOWSHERA: The activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians (PTIP) on Sunday quit their party and announced joining the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

Speaking at a press conference in Azakhel, Ibrahim Khan and Danyal Khan said that the PPP had roots in the masses, which always served the people in the true sense.They said that the country progressed by leaps and bounds during the tenures of PPP and people were happy. The political workers expressed full confidence in the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Earlier, the party’s Peshawar division president Misbahuddin addressed the press conference and shed light on the services and sacrifices of PPP leaders.He said that the PPP believed in the politics of reconciliation which was necessary for the development of the country. Misbahuddin said the party would be reorganized in the Nowshera district and office-bearers would be named soon.

“The disenchanted PPP workers will also be wooed back to make the party the most popular party again,” he added. The local leaders expressed confidence in the leadership of the party on the occasion.
