Princess Zahra visits Chitral
CHITRAL: Princess Zahra Aga Khan, the daughter of Prince Karim Aga Khan, reached Chitral on a two-day private visit to the district on Saturday.
Member Provincial Assembly Fatihul Mulk and officials of district administration welcomed the distinguished upon her arrival at the Chirtral Airport.
Earlier, Princess Zahra had visited Gilgit-Baltistan, where she had inspected a number of uplift projects being executed by the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).
She also visited ongoing projects being completed by the AKDN in education and health sectors to improve the lives of impoverished communities in the region.
She praised the AKDN staff for their strenuous efforts and asked them to continue the uplift projects with zeal and zest to help the vulnerable communities.
The visiting guest visited the diagnostic centre of Aga Khan Health Service, office of Aga Khan Agency for Habitat, Aga Khan Higher Secondary School and other projects.
The AKDN is dedicated to improving the quality of life of those in need irrespective of their origin, faith, or gender.
