44 batteries stolen from Ganga Ram
LAHORE : As many as 44 batteries worth lakhs of rupees have been stolen from CT scan and MRI scan during construction work at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
An FIR has been registered in Civil Line police station. In the FIR, it has been alleged that 44 batteries have been stolen by hospital contractor Babar and his workers. The FIR further says that these persons have also allegedly stolen electricity cables and other goods worth lakhs of rupees during the construction work. The patients are suffering due to crucial diagnostic services. The police, however, detained some other hospital staff members instead of the accused named in the FIR. The accused, however, have been at large. The Sir Ganga Ram Hospital administration wrote a letter to CCPO on this incident, informing that the police had picked up the employees who are not nominated in the FIR without informing the management. It asked the police authorities to take the hospital administration into confidence before taking any further action.
