Early construction of stadium ordered
LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Youth Affairs Faisal Ayub Khokhar has said that a top class Arshad Nadeem Stadium will be built in Olympian Arshad Nadeem’s native city Mian Channu and in this regard, orders have been issued to authorities concerned to start the construction of stadium as early as possible.
The provincial minister shared this information while talking to Olympian javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem, who called on him at National Hockey Stadium on Friday. During the meeting, Faisal Ayub Khokhar assured Arshad Nadeem of all possible cooperation and support for his Olympics preparation.
It may be noted here that Arshad is currently doing his training at Punjab Stadium for the preparation of Paris Olympic Games. Speaking on this occasion, Khokhar informed that a special ceremony will be organised to encourage Arshad Nadeem before his departure for the Paris Olympics. “Arshad is a true role model for the young athletes of the country. We are quite upbeat that he will win a gold medal for the country in the Paris Olympic Games,” he added.
