Islamabad: Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa received members of the fire-fighting squad, which participated in fire-extinguishing activity on Margalla Hills, last week.
The personnel of fire-fighting squad spent night on Margalla Hills which suddenly erupted at different locations and spread to over three kilometres area. On directives of the Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the CDA chairman received fire-fighters at his office, announced honorarium for them, encouraged them and appreciated their courage and hard work with which they controlled fire twice during this season. He said that the fire-fighting squad would be equipped with latest equipment with provision of vehicles so that they could efficiently perform their task.
He directed fire-fighters to always prepare to face situation of fires on Margalla Hills during the hot summer. Meanwhile, at a meeting with the CDA chairman in chair, it was decided to introduce cutting-edge technology of 3D and digital market in the federal capital from July 1. The authority would install digital screens on highways and commercial areas and same would be rented out initially for three years on annual basis. The implementation on decision would also result in enhancing CDA's income.
