LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is in talks with West Indian batting great Sir Vivian Richards to serve as a mentor for the upcoming ICC World T20 tournaments.
Sources within the PCB revealed ongoing negotiations with Richards. The board is interested in his experience and knowledge, especially considering the T20 World Cup’s West Indies leg. They are highly impressed by his success as a mentor with the Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
However, there’s a hurdle to overcome. Sir Vivian Richards has existing media commitments during the World T20. Despite this challenge, the PCB remains determined to secure Richards’ services. They are actively exploring solutions to address the scheduling issue, highlighting their strong desire to have him mentor the Pakistani squad.
