It is commendable that the minimum wage has been increased to Rs32000 but most workers seem unaware of this change and are not being paid this amount at all. These workers also aren’t aware of their employers’ EOBI responsibilities.
I would request our legislators to mandate that all businesses display certificates that confirm their employees are paid their minimum wage and registered with the EOBI.
