ISLAMABAD: District and Sessions Court Islamabad while providing a questionnaire to KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in the arms and liquor recovery case directed him to appear before it on May 20 in person.
The case came up for hearing before the district and sessions court Islamabad on Friday. Judicial magistrate Sohaib Bilal gave a questionnaire to Zahoor ul Hassan counsel for CM KP.
The court has sought replies to 9 questions from Ali Amin Gandapur. It was asked in the questionnaire if he heard the evidence arguments presented by the prosecution during the hearing. He was asked about attending a meeting in violation of the district magistrate's orders on October 30 2016. In another question, it was asked if you came in a black vehicle and ran away by taking advantage of the jungle. Police took into custody the vehicle. Another question asked about an unlicensed gun recovered from Allah Nawaz sitting on the back seat of your vehicle in a bulletproof jacket.
Another question queried him about the recovery of a bottle of liquor and illegal arms from his vehicle. The KP CM was asked why the case was registered against you and why the prosecution witnesses recorded their evidence. Do you want to record a statement under Section 340 as a witness in your defence. In another query, Gandapur was asked if he wanted to present some evidence or say something in your defence.
The court while providing a questionnaire under 342 adjourned the hearing of the case till May 20. The court also directed Ali Amin Gandapur to appear in the court in person on May 20.
