Two robbers killed by citizen in Gulzar-e-Hijri
Two suspected robbers were killed and another was wounded by a citizen’s gunfire in the Gulzar-e-Hijri area on Thursday evening.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred near Madras Chowk within the jurisdiction of the Sacchal police station. Police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident to investigate. They confirmed that two robbers were killed and another was wounded when a citizen fired at them as they attempted to flee after a robbery. The citizen used his licensed pistol, resulting in the immediate death of two robbers and the injury of another.
The casualties were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where the injured robber, identified as Nadeem, was under police custody. The bodies of the deceased robbers were moved to the morgue for identification. Weapons were also recovered from the suspects’ possession.
In a related incident earlier, between Tuesday night and Wednesday, a university student named Shaikh Nehal was killed, and his uncle was wounded during an exchange of fire with robbers near the Jamali flyover in Gulzar-e-Hijri. Nehal managed to kill one robber, while another was reportedly killed by police.
