Man arrested for harassing lady doctor

LAHORE:Virtual Women Police Station took timely action and apprehended the person harassing a lady doctor. A call was received at Virtual Women Police Station from a private hospital reporting harassment of a woman. Virtual Women Police Station immediately dispatched police to the scene. The woman doctor avoided going to the police station. Virtual Women Police Station completed all legal formalities at the hospital.

The police upon request from the woman doctor at the hospital took the suspect into custody. The spokesperson for Safe Cities said that Virtual Women Police Station is active 24/7 to resolve all issues facing women, including harassment, domestic violence, forced marriages, and acid attacks.

Bike lifting gang arrested

Gowalmandi Police arrested a gang involved in bike lifting from Lahore Mayo Hospital on Wednesday. The arrested suspects were identified as Rizwan alias Jani and Rafique alias Feeka. Police also recovered one motorbike, six mobile phones and knife from them. The suspects were involved in many cases of bike lifting.

3,262 robbers arrested this year

Lahore Police have arrested 3,262 members of 1,373 gangs in various operations this year and recovered stolen property worth over Rs1.05 billion from the possession of criminals. This was stated by the Lahore Police spokesperson in a statement issued here on Wednesday.

The spokesperson mentioned that from the apprehended suspects, 36 vehicles, 2,927 motorcycles, 93 other vehicles, 46 laptops, 2,729 mobile phones, and 127 tolas of gold were recovered.

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana said that operations are ongoing against criminals involved in various crimes. He emphasised that a zero-tolerance policy is being pursued against criminals involved in drug trafficking, illegal weapons, street crimes and heinous offenses.
