A tug of war is going on between the chief minister and governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They have gone so far in the plethora of charges and counter charges that the political rivalry has almost turned into a personal feud. Is this healthy politics? What impression will an ordinary person take from the current row between the two political heavy weights? A political leader ought to have sterling qualities, exercising maximum restraint and always putting the betterment and welfare of the nation and state first. Will a federating unit, which is already grappling with myriad challenges, make progress in the current circumstances? Both the governor and chief minister of KP must review their behaviour, focus on the hardships of the people and shun the politics of confrontation.
