Chandio rejects allegations against Zardari
KARACHI: Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Information Moula Bux Chandio has categorically rejected the allegations levelled by a private TV news channel against the former president Asif Ali Zardari with regard to his property in Hide Park, London.
The allegations were absolutely baseless and the report was fabricated with an aim to malign the former president, he said. In a handout issued on Monday, the CM’s adviser quoted the former president as saying that he would relinquish the entire property as was claimed by the private television to the control of eminent social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi for his public trust.
Chandio said there is nothing new as allegations have also been levelled against the former president in the past and none of those baseless and shameful allegations were ever proven.
It is in record of the history that all the cases registered against him were on the basis of fake and baseless allegations which could not be proven in any court of law but still he was jailed for the crimes he never committed, claimed Chandio.
Chandio said that Zardari was a man of principles and believes in serving the masses without any discrimination and this new series of baseless allegations won’t weaken his firm resolve for serving the people, which he is doing quite diligently.
He said that a pack of conspirators in Lahore at the behest of their masters is engaged in gross tactical manoeuvres of diverting the people’s attention from the corruption of their master and this new chapter of conspiracies is part of the media trial.
He said the Pakistan People’s Party is well aware of the intentions of this typical pack of conspirators and they could not intimidate us because the PPP has always faced trials and would still not run away from the field.
He said the PPP is a pro-peoples party and does not have any asset that is concealed from them. The adviser also said that the PPP leadership is consulting for possible legal action against that particular private television.
