JHANG: DPO Rashid Hidayat has said that providing protection to the people is top priority of the police department.
He said this while addressing an open court at his office on Friday. The DPO said that the government officials especially policemen should shown utmost tolerance towards the citizens while performing their duties in the field.
He said that during inquiries regarding conflicts between the citizens and police officials, especially traffic wardens, it was learnt that citizens travelling with families and patients were found under mental stress.
The DPO added that the citizens should cooperate with the on-duty policemen to avoid untoward situations. The DPO warned the police officers that if any applicant receives against any police officer, stern action would be initiated against such police officers.
DC visits trauma centre: District Health Authority Administrator/DC Muhammad Umair on Friday visited the Trauma Centre of the DHQ Hospital and inquired about provision of free medicines to the patients.
MS Dr Sadaf Naqvi briefed the DC about the treatment of emergency patients in a new block due to ongoing revamping of the Trauma Centre building. He directed the MS to ensure presence of the senior doctors and consultants during evening and night hours for the emergency patients. DC Umair said that provision of free and quality medical services to the people living in urban and rural areas was a top priority of the Punjab government.
