PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Irrigation Minister Aqibullah Khan has pledged to utilise all available resources to ensure timely completion the remodeling of the Warsak Canal System
This he said in a recent meeting with a delegation representing the construction firm tasked with the project, says a handout issued on Wednesday.The delegation, comprising Project Manager Ren, Deputy Team Leader Wang, Project Director Ruhul Amin, and Deputy Project Director Muhammad Amir, engaged in a comprehensive discussion with Minister Aqibullah Khan regarding the progress and challenges associated with the remodeling of the Warsak Canal System.
Minister Aqibullah Khan emphasised on the significance of the project for irrigation and clean drinking purposes within the province. He affirmed that proactive measures are being taken to expedite the project’s completion within the designated timeframe.During the meeting, the minister reassured the delegation of his commitment by personally coordinating with relevant authorities, including the finance advisor, chief secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and finance secretary, to ensure a continuous and uninterrupted supply of funds for the project.
The project involves the construction of a five-kilometer long tunnel. Once completed, the tunnel will facilitate the extraction of 700 Kiosk water, with 300 Kiosk allocated for drinking purposes and 400 Kiosk for irrigation.
