CDA chairman deputes ACs of ICT on development projects

Islamabad: Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Tuesday decided to depute Assistant Commissioners of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) to monitor progress of the work on expansion and rehabilitation of the Islamabad Expressway.

"The Chief Commissioner and the CDA chairman has directed Assistant Commissioner to monitor work on development work in package one of the Islamabad Expressway," a statement issued by CDA after visit of Randhawa to different development projects in Islamabad said. Randhawa also ordered officials of concerned of CDA engineering wing to ensure their presence at sites of their development project to keep track of quality and progress of the work.

The CDA chairman was apprised that 75% work on package one of Islamabad Expressway had been completed. The package up to Pak PWD housing scheme also includes construction of railway bridge. The CDA directed that work on package one should be completed by end of July and there should be no further delay in accomplishing the task

He also visited expansion and rehabilitation work on the Park Road saying that the project should be completed by June 15. He was informed that total length of Park Road where expansion work was being carried out is 7.2 kilometres. He was apprised that 85% work on western carriageway has been completed saying that work on shifting of Iesco and other utility lines should be completed within five days.
