Islamabad: The International Food Festival “Taste the World” captivated food enthusiasts and philanthropists alike, as 29 embassies showcased their culinary prowess to raise funds for charity. Hosted by the Islamabad Foreign Women’s Association (IFWA), in collaboration with Serena Hotels and various diplomatic partners, the event celebrated cultural diversity while supporting meaningful causes.
The festival, a testament to the power of food as a universal language, offered an array of authentic dishes representing cuisines from around the globe. From savoury delights to sweet treats, each embassy presented a unique taste of their culture, fostering an atmosphere of unity and understanding. Aziz Boolani, CEO of Serena Hotels, emphasized the event’s significance beyond gastronomy, highlighting its role in cultural diplomacy and community empowerment. Proceeds from the festival will support IFWA’s initiatives aimed at assisting underprivileged communities, particularly women and children, across Pakistan.
