Qureshi hands over opposition ToRs to MHCBA
MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf senior leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Saturday met MHCBA President Sheikh Jamshed Hayat in his office and handed over Imran Khan’s letter and a copy of opposition ToRs to him.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi also visited the Multan District Bar Association and met its president Azeemul Haq Pirzada and gave him Imran Khan’s letter. Meanwhile, talking to journalists at the Multan High Court Bar Association, Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi claimed that the lawyers’ joint session had demanded resignation from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Panama Leaks issue till the findings of the Judicial Commission, which was also the opposition’s demand.
He hoped that the lawyers would support the opposition parties after examining the ToRs for supremacy of the Constitution and eliminating corruption. He said the lawyers’ representatives Aitzaz Ahsan and Hamid Khan had finalised the ToRs. Commenting on the arrest of the Balochistan finance secretary in corruption case, he said that corruption had penetrated deeply in Balochistan.
