KARACHI: West Indies Women ended their limited-overs tour of Pakistan on a fitting note by winning the fifth and the last T20I by eight wickets, with skipper Hayley Matthews showing yet another all-round brilliance here at the National Bank Stadium on Friday night.

After sweeping the three-match ODI series, the Windies won the T20Is 4-1 after 78 from Matthews helped them to chase down 135 in 18.2 overs in the fifth encounter.

However, opener Rashida Williams was shown the door for 16 by Sadia Iqbal, with Windies score at 25. However, Matthews and Shemaine Campbelle (33) stitched a 103-run stand for the second wicket to seal the deal for West Indies.

During the partnership, though Campbell soaked 35 balls with two fours, Matthews, who also claimed the Player of the Series award for 205 runs and seven wickets, looked in fine nick, lacing worth-watching 11 fours.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Pakistan got off to a steady 38-run start in five overs. Ayesha Zafar (22) was removed after being clean-bowled by Joseph, while the other opener, Sidra Ameen, who scored 48 off 52 balls, tried to keep the inning intact.

With Muneeba Ali (25), Sidra tailored a 46-run partnership, but after Muneeba's removal, Pakistan started losing wickets at regular intervals that hindered them from reaching the defendable 150-plus total.

Skipper Nida Dar, Gull Feroza, Fatima Sana and Natalia Pervaz also got out for 2, 4, 0, and 5, before Shamim's 16 runs helped Pakistan reach 134. For West Indies, Afy Fletcher was the stand-out bowler with figures of 3 for 17 in four overs, while Matthews and Alleyne picked one. Joseph took two.
