LAHORE:The Department of Livestock and Dairy Development Punjab has introduced the first mobile livestock clinic for service delivery in the provincial metropolis as an important initiative regarding the care and treatment of pets.
Provincial Agriculture Minister Ashiq Hussain Kirmani formally inaugurated the mobile (van) and also inspected the facilities provided in it. Secretary Livestock and Dairy Development Punjab Masood Anwar and Director General (Extension) Asif Sahi were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion, the minister said the mobile service will provide free treatment facilities of animals at the doorstep of people's homes in Lahore city. A doctor, veterinary assistant, attendant and driver including 4 staff members will be on duty in the van in two shifts. Later, in the second phase, 25 vans will be added which will provide to different districts of Punjab, he maintained.
