ISLAMABAD: The federal government has appointed Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) BPS-20 officer Muhammad Ali Randhawa as chief commissioner of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
Captain (retd) Anwarul Haq, another BPS-20 officer (acting charge), has been transferred with directives to report to the Establishment Division. He would also have to relinquish the charge of chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).The new commissioner by virtue of ex-officio member of the CDA Board according to Section 6 (2) of the CDA Ordinance would be posted as CDA chairman. The Establishment Division will issue a separate notification in this regard.
The Ministry of Interior had requisitioned the services of Randhawa who was commissioner Lahore.
