ISLAMABAD: Ex-attorney general of Pakistan and a senior lawyer Irfan Qadir has been appointed as Consultant on Legal Affairs in the President Secretariat.
According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division on April 29, the prime minister has appointed Irfan Qadir as Consultant (Legal Affairs) in the President Secretariat (Public) on contract for a period of two years.
Irfan Qadir was also appointed as Special Assistant to then Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in October, 2022 with the status of federal minister.
Meanwhile, the federal government has transferred a BPS-20 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa, who was serving in Punjab government with directions to report to the Establishment Division. The Establishment Division also issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday. The Ministry of Interior had requisitioned the services of Randhawa who was Commissioner Lahore, last week for further posting in the Chief Commissioner’s Office Islamabad or Capital Development Authority (CDA).
