PESHAWAR: Police have safely rescued South Waziristan District and Sessions Judge Shakirullah Khan Marwat from kidnappers, reports Geo News.
KP CM Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif told Geo News the judge has been shifted to his home. He said details would be shared with media later.
Earlier, a high-level special team was constituted on Sunday for the early recovery of the district and sessions judge of South Waziristan who had been kidnapped from Dera Ismail Khan a day before.
The cops were on their toes after the government and the Peshawar High Court took notice of the kidnapping of the district and sessions judge, Shakirullah Khan Marwat.
The PHC had summoned the KP Home secretary and provincial police chief, directing them to recover the kidnapped judge at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the kidnapped judge in a 63-second video said that the militants had some demands from the government and they would release him only after these demands were met.
