Threat image recognition training conducted at Islamabad airport
The training primarily targeted aviation security regulatory officers and inspectors
LAHORE: In line with improving aviation security, the Islamabad International Airport has successfully completed the ‘Threat image recognition computer-based training’.
Organised under the Civil Aviation Authority’s supervision, the training was participated by key stakeholders and international partners. Dr Juvinal, head of Security and Justice at the British High Commission in Pakistan, was the chief guest at event in Islamabad, highlighting the importance of collaboration in enhancing airport security measures.
The training primarily targeted aviation security regulatory officers and inspectors, equipping them with essential skills in X-ray screening through the computer-based training (CBT) auditor course. The participants included representatives from Pakistan Customs, Airport Security Force, Pakistan International Airlines, and Karsaz, ensuring a comprehensive approach to aviation security.
Acknowledging the vital role of technology, the UK Department of Transport provided essential equipment for X-ray screening certification auditors, along with comprehensive training on its utilisation, underscoring the commitment to enhancing aviation security standards.
