KARACHI: inDrive, a ride-hailing company, has announced a Rs7.5 million inDrive Rozgar initiative to establish 100 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, a statement said.
The partnership between inDrive and HANDS Pakistan signifies a significant step towards empowering communities and fostering economic independence. "We are thrilled to partner with HANDS Pakistan to launch the inDrive Rozgar initiative," said Sidra Kiran, communications lead at inDrive Pakistan. "Through sustainable entrepreneurship, we aim to create opportunities for individuals to thrive and contribute to the country's development by providing sustainable livelihood opportunities to marginalized individuals in urban areas.”
Maaz Tanveer, head of Communication and Resource Development at HANDS Pakistan said the partnership with inDrive is a key intervention in furthering vision of Khudmukhtaari (self-reliance). "Through the establishment of 100 SMEs provided to marginalized individuals in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, we are making over a hundred families self-sustainable."
