Action ordered against sale of illegal petrol and LPG
PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has directed authorities concerned to take strict action against the sale of illegal, substandard Iranian petrol, LPG and low-gauge petrol pumps in Peshawar Division.
In a meeting held with Commissioner Peshawar Division, Riaz Khan Mahsud in the chair, in which Deputy Commissioners, District Police Officers, and representatives from the Regional Transport Authority, Petroleum Department and other relevant authorities were present, It was decided to form a committee to check the standard and gauge of petrol through a mobile laboratory.
Petrol pumps found to be selling substandard petrol will be sealed on the spot, and their owners will be sent directly to jail. Furthermore, mechanics involved in illegally converting petrol and CNG vehicles to LPG will be arrested, and their workshops will be sealed.
