One killed, three injured in Quaidabad shooting
An incident unfolded in Quaidabad on Tuesday, resulting in one fatality and three individuals sustaining injuries due to gunfire over motorcycle speeding.
A dispute erupted within the jurisdiction of the Quaidabad police station, leading to injuries to three brothers and a passerby. Police and rescuers took the injured to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Unfortunately, one victim, identified as 40-year-old Shahzad Tanoli, son of Abdul Hakeem, succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The injured were identified as Qaisar (50), Sanam Tanoli, and Alamgir (48). Sanam Tanoli serves as a local councillor. Investigations into the incident revealed that the altercation stemmed from a neighborhood dispute regarding the prohibition of speeding on motorcycles.
During the heated exchange, gunfire erupted, resulting in injuries to the three brothers and a passerby. Nasir, son of Hashim, was apprehended by the police in connection with the shooting, along with the weapon used. Authorities are actively pursuing other suspects involved in the incident.
