Govt hospital labs to be improved: minister
LAHORE: Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique said that the labs and overall condition of government teaching hospitals will be improved and research will be promoted in the medical universities of the province. He said that Punjab cabinet is serving the public as per the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
Khawaja Salman Rafique expressed these views while addressing the 36th syndicate meeting of Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU) here on Tuesday.The provincial minister on this occasion confirmed the decisions of the 35th meeting of Fatima Jinnah Medical University. During the syndicate meeting, approval was given for the purchase of biomedical equipment for the under construction mother and child block, Fatima Jinnah Medical University to hire cleaning and security services for the next one year, and Fatima Jinnah Medical University was also given the permission to hire a tax consultant Academics and Assistant Registrar Legal.
Additional Secretary Zahida Azhar, Additional Technical Secretary Dr Hafiz Shahid Latif and Deputy Secretary Finance Hamad Al-Rab from the Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education were present, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal, Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University Prof Dr Mehmood Ayaz, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Kamran Khalid Khawaja, Registrar Prof Nadeem Kasuri, Prof Dr Balqis Shabbir, Prof Dr Shamsa Humayun and other departments as Syndicate members participated.
