Marwat statement: PTI delegation to meet Saudi ambassador
The upcoming sojourn would be for taking part in the World Economic Forum (WEF) conference on investment
ISLAMABAD: A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) delegation is expected to meet Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki to explain the party’s position with regard to a statement of senior party leader Sher Afzal Marwat, who reportedly blamed Saudi Arabia for playing a role in dislodging the PTI government in 2022.
PTI Spokesperson Raoof Hasan in a TV talk-show the other day announced that the PTI delegation would explain its position to the Saudi envoy and in this regard would seek an appointment with Ambassador Nawaf.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Nawaf is scheduled to visit to Riyadh shortly for important consultations with his country’s administration before the visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to the kingdom next week. The prime minister would be undertaking the second trip to the kingdom in less than a month. The upcoming sojourn would be for taking part in the World Economic Forum (WEF) conference on investment.
