PA gets ‘secretary general’

LAHORE: Chaudhry Amir Habib has assumed the charge of secretary general after amendment in the Rules of Procedures of Punjab Assembly.
As per the amendment in the Punjab Assembly Rules of Procedures, the word 'secretary general' shall be used in place of word secretary. Previously, the term of Secretary Assembly was used. Ch Amir has been associated with Punjab Assembly since 1998 while he was inducted in the Assembly Secretariat as Editor of Debates (BS 17). He served as Estate Officer, Secretary to Speaker, Deputy Director Proceedings and held many important positions in last 25 years.
