Sukkur: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi and Sukkur Arts Council have jointly launched the Sindh Theatre Festival 2024 in Sukkur.
The festival was inaugurated by ACP President Muhammad Ahmed Shah along with Sukkur Arts Council President Mumtaz Bukhari and Sukkur Institute of Business Administration Vice Chancellor Dr Asif Ahmed Sheikh.
Shah informed the inauguration ceremony that the festival would continue for one whole week. He recalled that the ACP had earlier organised the historic Pakistan Literature Festival in Sukkur and the response it received from the city was commendable as more than 200,000 individuals participated in that.
The ACP president said Sukkur had a rich history and hundreds of children were learning art and music at the Sukkur Arts Council. He called for uniting the diverse segments of the country. “Pakistan is a federation, and there is a need to activate cultural institutions nationwide,” he remarked. The entry to the festival is free of charge. It will end on April 21.
