Teacher arrested for ‘assaulting’ boy for two years

LAHORE: A 12-year-old boy was raped allegedly by his teacher for two years and also filmed for blackmailing in Raiwind City.

Police arrested the suspect and said that they were investigating the matter. Father of the victim ‘H’, a resident of Chajju Wala Chowk, said that the suspect Naeem Rasheed runs an academy in front of his house.

For last two years, his son would go to study there. The suspect would rape him and also threaten him of making videos viral after shooting the sexual assault. He was crying two days back when his mother asked the matter he told the truth. Chairperson Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CP&WB) Sarah Ahmad termed it an unfortunate incident. ‘I have instructed CP&WB team to contact with the aggrieved family’, she said. Legal aid will be ensured for the victim, she asserted.

Man hit to death by car A 45-year-old man died after being hit by a speeding car in North Cantonment. The unidentified victim reportedly was crossing the road near Ring Road at Guldasht Town. Suddenly, a speeding car hit him. The victim fell down and received fatal injuries and died. His body has been moved to morgue.

Three robbers arrested Hayer Police arrested three members of a robbers’ gang. The arrested suspects were identified as Abbass, Haider and Shafique. Police also recovered three bikes, mobile phones, two pistols and bullets from their custody.

Two die in road accidents in Punjab Around two people died, whereas 1,457 were injured in 1,333 road traffic accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Out of these, 689 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 768 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
