Rather than nurturing intellect and critical thinking skills, the prevailing trend in numerous universities across the nation is a race for publications, devoid of genuine contributions to academia. This disturbing phenomenon not only fails to enrich the educational experience but also erodes the very essence of quality education, leaving students bereft of meaningful learning opportunities. Additionally exacerbating the educational challenges is the hiring of visiting faculty members in universities.
Regrettably, these individuals frequently lack the professional maturity and academic rigor required to effectively shape the minds of future generations. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) must take decisive action to hold universities accountable and ensure the provision of quality education to all students.
