CHARSADDA: Ruling out any shift in party’s stance on national issues, Awami National Party (ANP) provincial President Senator-elect Aimal Wali Khan on Friday said all and sundry, including the politicians, should offer themselves for accountability.

About the letter of the six judges of the Islamabad High Court, he said that who would testify against the powerful officials in the court of law. Aimal Wali said the ANP would neither become part of the government nor the opposition in the Senate, adding that his party had submitted an application to the chairman Senate to remain neutral in the upper house of the Parliament. He dismissed the impression that his party had buried its stance on upholding the rule of law and civil supremacy after he became the senator. “We will continue to strive for upholding the rule of law,” he said, adding the ANP would not become part of any movement against the government. However, he maintained that whoever wanted to work for civil supremacy and rule of law could join hands with the ANP.
