LAHORE: The journey of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on a regular PIA flight — PK842 Jeddah-Islamabad — turned out to be a suffering for hundreds of passengers.
The PIA sources said that the flight landed in Lahore instead of Islamabad. Earlier, the plane, with some 380 passengers passengers seated on time, waited for the PM and his delegation at the Jeddah Airport for two hours. Later, on way to Islamabad, the plane was diverted to Lahore.
The passengers lamented that despite departure of the PM’s delegation, the plane stayed at the Lahore Airport for two hours. According to a passenger, the passengers from Islamabad and KP strongly protested against delay in aircraft’s takeoff.
