Wattoo asks PM to resign on Panama Leaks issue

OKARA: PPP Punjab president Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo has said that PM Nawaz Sharif should resign from his office till he gets clean chit from the judicial commission.
Talking to reporters here on Wednesday, Wattoo said that the PM could assume his office again if allegations proved wrong in the judicial committee inquiry. Meanwhile, former foreign minister Sardar Aseff Ahmad Ali said that the rulers were facing problems due to Panama Leaks. He said that all opposition parties except ANP were demanding resignation from the PM on the Panama Leaks issue.
8 GANGS BUSTED IN APRIL: The district police have arrested eight dacoit gangs and recovered booty and weapons from them in April.
It was said by DPO Faisal Rana while talking to reporters here on Wednesday. The DPO said that the police also arrested 522 proclaimed offenders and 326 court absconders during the month besides recovering booty including motorcycles, rickshaws and ornaments from the accused persons. He claimed that seven dacoits were killed by the firing of their own accomplice during police encounters. These dacoits and their accomplices were involved in dacoity, murder and terror cases, he added. The DPO told that the police recovered 28kg charas, 18kg hashish and heavy quantity of brewed wine in the same month.
