Father poisons four children

TOBA TEK SINGH: Four children, including three girls, died when their father gave them poison over a domestic issue at Chak 520/GB on Friday.

According to Rescue 1122 officials, Nazia Bibi, wife of accused Muhammad Asghar, told media in a hospital that she and her husband quarreled over the issue of wedding of their daughters. She alleged that the accused gave poison to all family members after mixing it in tea.

The deceased were identified as Madiha, 18, Sania, 17, Iqra, 13, and Ali Hassan, 7. Nazia and her another daughter Aqsa, 15, were referred to the Faisalabad Allied Hospital. The Sadr Police have arrested Asghar who claimed that after he and his wife quarreled over domestic issues, he went out of the house and in his absence, his wife gave poison to the children and also consumed it herself.
