Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah took notice of report of ‘The News’ regarding illegal and unauthorised use of Sindh government’s 153 vehicles by influential persons including Senators, MPAs, former Sindh cabinet members, retired officers and a journalist and directed Sindh chief secretary and secretary general Administration to submit report regarding the matter and launch efforts for the recovery of these vehicles.
Report of unauthorised use of 83 official vehicles and missing of record of 70 vehicles was published in ‘The News’ and daily Jang on March 31. These 153 vehicles are in use of blue-eyed Senators, MPAs, former cabinet members, former, retired officers and a journalist leader.
According to the official statement, “Sindh chief minister on Wednesday issued directives ordering chief secretary to take necessary measures to recover 153 government vehicles illegally allotted to unauthorised influential persons”.The chief minister directed the Sindh Chief Secretary Siddiq Memon to report him on the matter.
