ISLAMABAD: A judicial magistrate has sought arguments on May 15 on a petition seeking acquittal of PTI founder Imran Khan in a case related to the May 9 incidents.
The acquittal plea was filed by lawyer Naeem Panjutha. A case registered against Imran in connection with the May 9 incidents at the Police Station Khanna came up for hearing on Wednesday.
Judicial Magistrate Sohaib Bilal inquired if the case challan against the PTI founder had been filed. He asked how many more cases against him are there.
Panjutha told the court that the sentence of PTI founder in the Toshakhana case had been suspended. The conviction in Nikah during Iddat and cipher cases still remains there. His bail in 190-million pound scandal is yet to be obtained.
