One or two years will be difficult but relief to surely come: Nawaz

Nawaz Sharif said the entire country, including politicians, administration, and police have to work hard to pull Pakistan out of difficult times

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has said everyone has seen what the illegal invaders have done to this country and as a result not only the PMLN but the state of Pakistan was also damaged.

PMLN Quaid Nawaz Sharif said this while meeting with MNAs and MPAs of Faisalabad Division during his visit to the area along with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Monday last. A handout released by the DGPR on Tuesday said Nawaz Sharif on the occasion said together we will bring Pakistan back to its place. “Had our government not been removed, Pakistan would have been on the heights of development.”

He further added that although it will be a difficult year or two, the time of relief will surely come. Nawaz Sharif said the entire country, including politicians, administration and police have to work hard to pull Pakistan out of difficult times.

Nawaz Sharif, while lamenting the non-implementation of ban on kite flying, which has resulted in the tragic incident of death of a young man, said, “Such a sad event has not been seen or heard. I am very saddened by the death of a beautiful young man.” The parliamentarians apprised Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz about issues and development needs of their constituencies. The chief minister said, “More than 48 lakh Ramazan Nigahban hampers have been distributed across Punjab.” She added, “A comprehensive system of solid waste management is being implemented in 36 districts of the province. A target has been given to establish PPP mode of waste management system in all 36 districts, including villages in the next 3 months.”

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif chaired a review meeting of the Infrastructure Development Authority Punjab (IDAP).

Meanwhile, Maryam Nawaz Sharif paid a rich tribute to the security forces for thwarting a terrorist attack on a naval base in Turbat. She saluted the courage and bravery of the security forces.

Meanwhile, Maryam Nawaz Sharif chaired the fourth meeting of the provincial cabinet. Headed by Provincial Food Minister, the cabinet constituted a ministerial committee for the policy input on wheat procurement and other related issues.

The cabinet approved sending recommendation to the federal government for the award of Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal to ASP Syeda Shahr Bano Naqvi, SDPO Gulberg, Lahore.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced to give 50,000 solar systems across Punjab under Chief Minister Roshan Gharana Programme.

“Pakistan and China have maintained closest and strongest friendship, but there is still a lot of room for improvement in economic ties,” said Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in a meeting with Chairman China State Construction Engineering Corporation Wang Yaobong.

She expressed her resolve to welcome China’s cooperation in agriculture, IT and environmental protection.
