Two labourers cleaning manhole die from suffocation

Two labourers suffocated to death in a manhole in the Bin Qasim area on Saturday. They were identified as Muhammad Amjad and Qadeer Ahmed.
The incident took place near a factory situated near the Port Qasim. SHO Vilayat Ali Shah said effluent from a factory used to be thrown into the manhole. As the manhole was choked, one of the labourers went inside for cleaning work where he died from suffocation.
The second labourer went inside to save the first but he also died inside the manhole.
Both the deceased labourers lived in the Lalabad locality within the limits of the Sukkan police station. They hailed from Punjab.
