Dacoits loot Rs 1m from trader after injuring him

BAHAWALPUR: Two dacoits looted Rs 1 million from a trader after injuring him on Railway Road here on Monday.
Kamran khan of Hasilpur was on his way when two dacoits intercepted him and looted Rs 1 million from him. They also shot at and injured him on resistance. The injured was rushed to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital.
PROTEST AGAINST PHOTOCOPY SHOP OWNER: Hundreds of citizens protested against a photocopy shop owner for allegedly beating a woman, her son and daughter.
The protesters chanted slogans against photocopy shop owner Ch Azhar advocate and blocked traffic on University Chowk in protest. The protesters demanded registration of an FIR against the shop owner and his arrest. Later, Civil Lines police arrested the shop owner but no FIR was registered against him till the filing of this report. According to victim girl’s mother, she along with her daughter went to the shop of Azhar for photocopy of some documents. She claimed that after waiting a long time, she asked the shop owner for return of their documents, which infuriated him. The woman alleged that the accused shop owner slapped her daughter and son besides beating her also.
