ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court, while accepting the bail plea of an accused in a murder case, has ordered to release him.
A three-member bench of the SC, presided over by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa, issued this decision on Tuesday.
The accused, Hanif Khan, is charged with murdering his stepfather over a financial dispute in Swat. The CJP inquired about the evidence against the accused.
Justice Irfan said as per the record, a recovery was made after being pointed out by co-accused Zahid. The co-accused has already been bailed out. At that point, the CJP also accepted the bail plea of the accused.
The mother of the victim started crying and said injustice had been done to them.
Threats are being received from jail that her son will be killed. The CJP remarked that her case had been decided. Afterwards, the court staff removed the brother and mother of the victim from the rostrum.
