PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday ordered the relevant departments to provide the details of the cases instituted against KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
The chief minister had filed a petition in the court seeking details of the cases against him.A two-member bench consisting of Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Justice Shakeel Ahmad heard the petition.
The counsel for the petitioner, Arshad Ahmad, and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Additional Director Legal, Abdur Rehman, appeared before the bench.Justice Shakeel Ahmad asked the counsel for the chief minister if the issue was not resolved. The lawyer replied that problems still existed as the cases had been lodged in Punjab and there was no information on that.
The judge said the petitioner should secure bail if he had been named in a case in Punjab.The counsel said the petitioner would move courts only if the details of the cases were provided to him.
He complained that the required details were not being provided and nothing in writing had been handed in this regard thus far.The FIA additional director of legal submitted to the court that there were two inquiries against the chief minister in Dera Ismail Khan.The chief justice said that the petitioner was the chief minister of the province.
