Survey of 51 sites for new housing scheme ordered
LAHORE: A meeting was held in the Board of Revenue on the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Senior Member Board of Revenue Nabil Javed presided over the meeting. DG PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia, Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) DG Saira Umar, Housing Department, PITB and other officers concerned attended.
The meeting discussed working on the priority projects of the chief minister. Instructions were issued for immediate survey of 51 proposed sites for new housing scheme. SMBR issued instructions to complete the survey within 15 days in 20 priority districts and submit the report.
SMBR Nabil Javed said that as per instructions of the CM, state land would not be auctioned rather it would be used for public utility projects like grounds, public parks and hospitals. In the meeting, the reforms in PLRA were reviewed. PLRA DG Saira Umar gave a briefing on the ongoing projects under Punjab Land Records Authority. Briefing was also given on land facility centres, Dastak app, monitoring dashboard, e-registration. The progress on property transfer process for Overseas Pakistanis was also reviewed. PLRA DG Saira Umar said that the mapping of locations under the PLUS project was ongoing. SMBR instructed PLRA DG to follow up. He also instructed member colonies to make revenue generation plan as the CM's instructions were to increase revenue generation and not expenditure, he added. Nabil Javed while instructing the participants to complete all the projects on time said that no omission or unnecessary delay would be tolerated.
LWMC CEO reiterates addressing citizens’ complaints
Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) Chief Executive Officer Babar Sahib Din Tuesday reiterated addressing citizens’ complaints regarding cleanliness swiftly. The CEO chaired a meeting at the LWMC control room. The meeting was attended by ADCG Muhammad Shojain Vistro and Deputy CEOs of Lahore Cantonment and Walton Cantonment Boards.
The meeting discussed issues of different areas. Highlighting the importance of collaboration, the EO told the attendees about the urgency of resolving these issues and ensuring cleanliness across Lahore. All officers vowed swift action within their respective jurisdictions. Representatives from different entities also attended the meeting.
